MPs in Local Museum Visit
Tourism Minister Nigel Huddleston MP has joined Greg in a visit to Burnby Hall Gardens and the Stewart Museum in Pocklington.
Sir Greg says of the Hall Gardens and Museum “They are one of the region’s tourist gems” adding “I am delighted that the Minister has found the time to visit Pocklington and join me at the Hall and Museum. I am also pleased, but not surprised, that the Minister was impressed with what he saw.”
The museum features a range of cultural exhibits, several of which have been recognised by UNESCO as of national and international importance.
During the visit, the two MPs were joined by Pocklington Councillor Kay West and several Museum Trustees, including the Chair of Trustees, Chris Clubley Esq.
Afterwards Greg commented: “I would strongly advise anyone who has not yet paid a visit to do so. It is a most worthwhile experience.”
The Minister agreed and indicated that he intends to visit again to explore the Hall gardens when his diary next permits.
